The Biggest Sports Weekend of the Year

26 February 2017

The most sought-after ticket this past weekend was the ESPN Super Bowl bash, aka The Party.   Held before the big game last Friday in a massive warehouse, the Event Eleven team designed and produced the annual event for the 13th consecutive year.  This year’s chic construction site theme was a nod to the roaring downtown Houston development scene complete with cherry picker and fork lift décor adorned with LED tubes and moving lights posing next to full service bars. Eye-popping LED screens projecting sports imagery and custom content greeted guests as plywood scaffolding provided a multi-level feel for the sports stars and other celebs. The stage, also made from scaffolding with more than 1K LED tubes, showcased a live performance by Fergie and music by DJ Khaled.

Behind the Scenes at the Oscars

Presenters and Winners alike cooled their heels backstage at the 89th Academy Awards in the Rolex sponsored Greenroom.   Event Eleven again this year created the elegant private lounge just steps away from the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.  Produced for Rolex, the four day build incorporated the iconic watchmaker’s signature green and gold colors, represented in the elegant furnishings and lush greenery.  The two-tone scheme carried over into the plush velvet seating with brass accents, surrounded by bookshelves lined with Rolex-themed items, and framed posters of legendary Hollywood actors sporting the famed Rolex watches.  A nod to the well-known Rolex watch boxes was interpreted in the centerpiece of the space, a translucent green bar with a fluted bezel inspired Venetian chandelier providing illumination for the stars.
