Where New Oscar® Winners Relax

28 February 2016

Meeting the press can be daunting.  Luckily, Event Eleven was on hand to create an elegant backstage lounge just steps away from winning the coveted bronze Oscar® at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.  Produced for Rolex with furniture sourced from B & B Italia, the greenroom resembled an exclusive late 20th-century Hollywood Hills home.  Warm tones of walnut wood, beige leather and Venetian stucco distinguished the main room, where a wooden bookcase with recessed lighting framed a Burgundy mohair sofa. The room also featured a bar next to a stunning floor-to-ceiling panorama lightbox. A conversation nook sported plush armchairs, and overhead, a chandelier with glass rods illuminated the space.  The sophisticated presence of Rolex was evident in a wall-mounted clock and in the stucco panels patterned with the Rolex crown in the walls.  Still photographs of legendary Hollywood stars wearing the iconic watch also presented the Rolex theme.  A more intimate space was created just beyond the main room with a comfortable sofa sectional and a recessed, large flat-screen TV for celebrities to cheer the many winners including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Mark Rylance, and Alicia Vikander among others.
